The Burkinabe photographer Sanlé Sory enters the collection
Modified on:
Ibrahima Sanlé Sory was born in Burkina Faso in 1943. Photographer and owner of the Volta Photo studio, he lives and works in Bobo-Dioulasso, the country’s second largest city. The collection of the Château d’Eau is enriched in 2020 with 4 self-portraits of the artist. Since the beginning of the studio, Sanlé Sory has produced dozens of self-portraits in a personal artistic approach.
Self-portrait with mirror miroir, 1966
A classic by the artist. At that time he practiced weightlifting and documented his physical evolution through photography, hence his bodybuilding poses.
